
Vitamin E Decreases the Oxidative Susceptibility of LDL
According to a recent study, there was a significant correlation between vitamin E status and lipid oxidation oxidizability. Subjects who received Vitamin E experienced much less lipid oxidation.
The Atherosclerosis (2000;150:217-224) reported that patients with chronic renal failure received both haemo- and peritoneal dialysis and were given 800 IU of alpha-tocopherol for 12 weeks as compared with control subjects.
